1947- The first ALSCO manufacturing facility is located in Akron, OH. ALSCO is an acronym that stands for the Aluminum Storm Window Company and grows into the biggest window and door manufacturer in the world.
1989- AmeriMark acquires ALSCO Building Products. Amerimark was a leading metal building products company that grew through several key acquisitions in 1984 starting with Clark Brothers siding, Wolverine Coil coating and Alumark. Along with these changes the product portfolio grew to include siding and soffit. Rainware was added in 1985 along with the purchase of Hastings Rainware products. Alsco Aluminum siding is a popular siding choice protecting over 5 million homes.
1997- AmeriMark acquired the construction products division of Reynolds Metals company which included production facilities for windows, vinyl siding, aluminum fabrication and aluminum mill and multiple service centers.
1998- AmeriMark begins doing business with Owens Corning Metals.
2003- Sun Capital Partners acquires Owens Corning Metals and forms Alsco Metals Corporation.
2015- Alsco Metals Corporation is purchased by Rollex Corporation, a leading metal building products manufacturer located in Elk Grove Village, IL.
